Hi,

Thought it might be a good idea to post what people have had for success w/disease treatment. We all will probably have to deal some sort of infection/parasite at one time or another.

So........I have 6 Altolamprologus Compressiceps Dwarf Shell in a 20 long. The fish are young adults.I have a pair with eggs/fry and a second male/female that have paired off.Due to laziness and lack of space,I never moved any fish from the tank. The fish were very aggresive and sustained torn fins and some body wounds.Soon fish developed fungus on their fins and mouths.
Being fairly delicate fish,I decided to treat lightly to start.
I did a 1/3 water change and the used Primafix and 1 teaspoon of salt per gallon.A few days into treatment, another 1/4 water change replacing Primafix and salt at proper amounts.
Six-seven days later, the fungus is gone from all fish and they are eating well and appear healthy.
Tom
