Location: somerville near tufts
Mainly looking for crushed coral or aragonite for substrate, if anyone has some let me know. Used is fine as. Also looking for flagstones and the like to build caves. In somerville .

Pete I used to do that I breed Africans and in all my tanks I have pool sand and I noticed no difference except the price

If you are going to use pool sand -- you don't want the bright white stuff IME.
I used to get mine at Namco pool company -- was a nice mix of brown shades.
cost less than $10 for 50lbs.
however it doesn't buffer.
and I always use just a thin layer of sand so it doesn't get anaerobic pockets.
