It's been several generations now since I started my shrimp tank, and it's starting to get too crowded. So I'm looking to unload some shrimp for anyone interested. Raised in a natural planted tank (Walstad method) with clean parameters. I can only offer delivery for the Cambridge area but would prefer pick up. I also have Java Fern sprouts.

$2 for each Red Cherry Shrimp
I'll throw in a Java Fern for free (while supplies last :))

Is this some thing that you when your tank gets crowed , I just redid my 110g tank and I don't have many plants yet for this large tank but was looking at shrimps to buy.
What is the best water temp for this kind of shrimp?
Do they eat algae?
What type of fish will be good tank mates ?
I just had surgery on to my right ankle last months and can't walk or drive for 4 months or so , I hope you will be selling some then I will need to read up some more info on shrimp to add to my cleaning crew.

65-80 F is recommended. I keep mine at 76.
They will graze on algae, but will tend to go for other sources such as leftover fish food.
I found that Rasboras and Corys work well (basically any non-aggressive and well fed fish won't nip at the shrimp). As a general rule, if the fish can fit the shrimp in it's mouth it will go for it.
