Ok, so I have my gazillion 3 week old angel fry with parents in a tank planted with vals. Yesterday I noticed a ton of hydra on the wood and spawning slate. Any ideas about dealing with them without harming the fish or the plants????????? God I hate Hydra! Took out all my daphnia a few months ago.

You'll probably get alot of people say NOT to do this, so take it with a grain of salt I guess. I use a quarter tab of flukes tabs to 10 gallons of water. Get's rid of ALL the hydra!

I've used this method with apisto fry just weeks old and never had any ill effects. At that dosage it isn't strong enough to have an effect on the fish. Hydra are inverts, and thus are much more sensitive to the meds.

Again, it isn't a popular method, but I have used it with good results.

Thanks! I appreciate your help and experience. If you used them with fry then I feel better and will consider it.
