Wild Betta Fish: June 2025 Monthly Meeting

On June 16, we will be having Greg Gregory give a presentation on wild bettas. In his talk we will dive into some of the evolutionary tree of the genus Betta that spans over 70 distinct species across Southeast Asia. The specific clades we will focus on will be: Albimarginata, Splendens, Rubra, Coccina, and Unimaculata.

Greg is an avid breeder and will be bringing in some of these fish for our monthly auction.

As a reminder, there is always plenty of street parking in the area especially along India Street (set your GPS for 35 India Street). Paid parking is available nearby in the Boston Harbor Garage. If you are taking the MBTA, take the Blue line to Aquarium.

• Our July meeting will be a summer auction and social ($3 a bag, 10 lot maximum per person).
• We do not have a scheduled meeting in August
